VENICE
This gem of a city is only hours away from Milan by rail. Most people will fall in love with its rich history & incredible architecture, which spans 100’s of years. Venice has welcomed people from all walks of life, artists, governors, intellectuals and many more. It’s annual carnival is also world famous. Stroll down the canals at sunset or for the early birds at sunrise, to see the light reflect on its buildings. TOLEDO
This iconic small town is less than 1 hour away from Madrid by rail. Once you set foot, you will fall in love with its rich and diverse history, which is 2000 years of age. The city has welcomed people from all walks of life, including Romans, Moors & Sephardi Jews. This shot is taken during the sunset, from a hill facing the city, allowing you see its famous vista. MONT ST MICHEL
The beautiful sunset photo of Mont Saint Michel was shot in the middle of the summer off the French Atlantic coast. The colors, vibe and history behind this monumental World Heritage site tends to blend well with darker surroundings or opposing colors in a room, allowing the the energy of this piece to stand out. LUXEMBOURG CITY
Over the past decade, Luxembourg has seen a renewed interest in its culture, heritage and natural surrounding beauty. Most surprising was the quality & clarity of the light in this area, during the serene month of February. This photo was shot at the end of the day, on a superb clear sky, right by a major bridge. FACING KORCULA
The ancient medieval town of Korcula offers well preserved fortifications & claims to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. This photo was taken in mid-afternoon, after spending most of the day wondering when to capture this massive mountain across the bay. It’s not the biggest in Europe or Croatia, but considering the surroundings and time of day, it’s truly a majestic view in its own way. PARIS
The magical city of light is famous for countless landmarks & a plethora of visitors. However, if you venture outside of the typical tourist circuit, you can discover another charming & magical side of Paris, one that blends 19th century architecture & modern transportation. This photo was taken from atop one of the tallest structures in the city, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful mix of vivid colors. MATERA
The city is stunning for its 1000’s of years of human occupation & out of this world landscape. Matera is located in Southern Italy & has emerged from decades of darkness. In the past 2 decades the city has turned things around in the most incredible fashion, with a growing number of visitors. The photo was captured on a sunny spring afternoon, where you can see a striking contrast between the different homes & their unusual layouts. CADIZ
This beautiful colonial city is over 2000 years old. The Romans, Moors & many more have made the fabulous coastal town of Cadiz their home. In addition, Spain used it as a gateway to the Americas, hence the architectural overlap with Havana, Cartagena & the colonial heritage of South Florida. PARISIAN CULTURE
The city offers an abundance of beauty across its buildings, streets & monuments. Sometimes, even the smallest details go unnoticed to the untrained eye; however the Parisian Metro is one of those icons you cannot miss. The light pole displays a great mix of classic nostalgia & expert craftsmanship, when the Metro was a marvel of its time. The street sign was shot in late afternoon, after visiting the Louvre.
